There are over 5500 aircraft in the Air Force. Each one needs expert teams to keep them ready to fly at a moment's notice. As a Special Vehicle Maintenance specialist, you'll inspect, troubleshoot and repair vehicles used in direct support of Air Force flying missions. This means you'll be an expert in gasoline and diesel engines, electrical systems, drive-train components, steering, brakes, suspension and hydraulic and air systems.
